Weight Loss – You’ve lost it, now how do you keep it off?

1. Portions! You may be eating all the right things but just too much of them!  Protein and carb ratio is based on your basal metabolic rate, metabolic markers and inflammation levels.

2.  Social eating! Come up with a plan before you attend the party, baseball game, festival, or backyard BBQ. Drink plenty of water and eat a healthy, balanced meal high in protein before you leave the house. Avoid the area where food is being served. We have plenty of tips and tricks for dining out and controlling social eating.

3.  Emotional eating! Bored, worried, sad, happy, anxious – any of these emotions can cause us to eat even when we are not hungry.  Before you give into the ‘hunger monster” imagine yourself eating the temptation food – the texture, taste, smell, weight.  Imagine how you will feel after you eat.  Mindful eating can overcome emotional eating – practice daily!
