Hello with another addition of News From Reneu. Happy Unofficial Start of Summer. Looks like the weather will cooperate for your long weekend. Let’s all remember to take a few moments to remember those who laid down their lives to secure the freedoms that we celebrate in America.

Dr. Jill Wohlfeil here with another edition of News from Reneu. Just a reminder that we all get to Fall Back this Sunday. It’s November, even if the temperatures don’t feel like it. So I know around here in Wisconsin it is often called “No Shave November” and we thought what better time to have a special on laser hair removal?? So where ever it is that you would rather not shave – let us reduce the hair and you can ditch the razor.

Upper lip, chin, armpits, bikini line you name it we can get rid of it. Treatments are quick, relatively painless with no down time. Depending on the area and the amount of hair treatments will be done every 4 weeks in a series of 4-8. Typically you will need a tune-up once a year. I am really very excited to have this injectable to offer patients because if gives us another tool for combating the aging process on our skin and a very different tool compared to fillers and the neurotoxins we typically treat with.

Today we are talking about lips and specifically lip fillers. As a long time injector, I get a lot of questions about lips. Are they going to be too big, will I look like a duck, are they going to look natural?

First let’s talk a little about why you feel like you need a lip filler.

One reason is that genetically you may have thin lips, you have must never had the plump volume you would like to have.

Another is aging. As we age our lips loose volume and actually turn in due to bone loss in the upper and lower jaw.

Fillers can help with both of those issues.
